We fit Veka — the German-engineered uPVC frame system used by premium installers across the UK. Every window leaves the factory with a 10-year frame guarantee, and our installation carries a 10-year workmanship warranty alongside it.
Our owner-surveyor runs every survey — no commission salesmen, no door-knockers, no third-party subcontracted out. The quote you receive is the price you pay. No theatrical "this week only" discounts. Spec changes? We tell you before any work happens.
Book today, surveyed this week. Fixed written quote within 48 hours of the survey — most go out within 24. Compare that to the three-week wait you'll get from the bigger Tayside fitters.
Monifieth-based, serving Dundee and the wider Tayside coast — Broughty Ferry, Carnoustie, Arbroath, Forfar, Perth, St Andrews. When you call Fenstra you reach us directly, not a national contact centre.
Core services in depth
Replacing windows in a Dundee or Tayside home isn't a like-for-like swap — the older the property, the more the fitter has to get right (sandstone reveals, lath-and-plaster reveals, conservation-area sightlines, salt-air exposure on the coast). Fenstra fits Veka uPVC across the full window range with energy-rated glazing units, multi-point locking and trickle ventilation where Building Standards require it. Every installation is signed off via the Scottish Building Standards Compliance Certificate route — FENSA doesn't operate in Scotland, so the route is different from the one English installers use, and we handle that paperwork for you.
A composite front door is the single biggest kerb-appeal change you can make to a Dundee or Tayside home for the money. We fit composite doors with solid timber cores, 44mm thickness as standard, and multi-point locking that passes the Secured by Design standard insurers ask for. Available in the standard colour palette plus woodgrain finishes — picked to your spec at survey, fitted within a few weeks of order.
A bifold door is what turns a 1970s back room into a place you actually want to sit. Fenstra fits 3, 4 and 5-panel bifolds in aluminium or uPVC with low-threshold options for level-access into the garden. Each panel runs on top-hung rollers — we set the alignment at survey and again at handover, so the door still slides smoothly five winters in. Honest answer: bifolds aren't for every house. We'll tell you at survey whether a French door or a sliding patio set is the better fit for the room.

Common questions
A typical 3-bed Dundee semi runs £4,500–£8,500 for a full Veka uPVC re-fit, depending on window count, frame configuration and glazing spec. A composite front door starts at £1,400 fitted. We don't publish exact prices because every house is different — the survey is free, the quote is fixed, and you'll see the figure in writing within 48 hours.
No. The survey and the written quote are free, and we never charge a callout fee. We come out, measure up, talk through the options, and email you the quote within 48 hours. There's no obligation to book.
Standard Veka uPVC lead time is currently around 4-6 weeks from order to fit, longer for non-standard colours or shaped units. We schedule the install date when you confirm the order, so you know exactly when the work happens — no rolling "we'll be in touch" delays.
A Fenstra-trained, in-house fitting team — we don't subcontract installs out to whoever's cheapest that week. Whoever surveys your house signs off the finished job.
FENSA doesn't operate in Scotland — it's an England + Wales scheme. Scottish installations are signed off via Scottish Building Standards through your local authority's Compliance Certificate route, or via CERTASS / TrustMark for the installer's competent-person credentials. We handle the paperwork, you get the certificate at handover.
A 10-year manufacturer guarantee on the Veka frames, and a 10-year workmanship warranty from Fenstra on the installation. That covers seals, hardware, fit and finish. If anything goes wrong, you reach Fenstra direct — not a national 0800 number.
